If Your Oil Furnace will not start
-
Turn your room thermostat up above room temperature
-
Make sure furnace emergency switch and breaker/fuse is in the "on" position
-
Check oil supply and make sure the oil valve is turned on
-
Push RED reset button ONCE ONLY
-
If you hear a hum from the motor push the red overload button the the burner motor
If Your Gas Furnace Will Not Start
-
Turn thermostat up above room temperature
-
Make sure furnace emergency switch and breaker/fuse is in the "on" position
-
Check and see if your furnace is equipped with a pilot light.

If your pilot light requires relighting call for service
-
If you have a high efficiency furnace make sure that the outside exhaust and air intake vent is free and clear
of snow, ice, or anything that may block the exhaust vent

If Your Air Conditioner Will Not Start
-
Check and make sure that your thermostat is set for "Cool"
-
Turn your room temperature down below room temperature
-
Make sure furnace emergency switch and breaker/fuse is in the "on" position
-
Check breaker/fuse marked Air Conditioning is turned "on"
